well i should start by saying that i have been just dying to share this wallpaper with you. my friend and talented creative director suzanne shade designed and created it all on her own. crazily she was inspired by an instagram of mine — a shot i took of driftwood at fort funston, and she knew she wanted to create a geometric pattern with it, and include a traditional toile print but how this incredible design came about in her very creative and imaginative mind i just can’t quite fathom. the math alone hurts my head.
she pieced together this collage on her computer and then generated large format images printed at san francisco’s Blow Up Lab on their repositionable poly fabric used for commercial
display work, which she then used as wallpaper. voilá! isn’t is stunning? suzanne just remodeled her kitchen with gorgeous white ikea cabinetry installed and customized by michael woo woodworking, white marble counter tops and that stunning tom dixon copper pendant lamp. she kept things very sleek and simple with the wallpaper as the show-stopping Pièce de résistance. i seriously think someone needs to produce this wallpaper en masse so we can all enjoy it on our walls. flat vernacular, are you listening? suzanne can be reached here for inquiries.
